We started with an idea and needed to find the perfect setting to match our project. After traveling the world, Costa Rica stood out as the optimal choice given its raw natural beauty, incredible climate, and excellent quality of life. We began to canvass the country by helicopter, boat, car, and even horseback in our search for the best location for our project, and it was while flying over the Gulf of Nicoya – seeing the gorgeous, uninhabited white-sand islands that we immediately knew we’d found our dream place. We uncovered an area near the gulf dubbed the Montes de Oro, often regarded as Costa Rica’s best kept secret. There we found the picturesque town of Miramar—which was to become home to PUERTA A LA VIDA on the Ocean.

Perched 300 M above sea level on the famous Gran Mirador, our 67 acre development’s high altitude affords some of the nicest ocean views in the area, cool ocean breezes and low humidity.

We couldn’t ask for a better location! And here’s why:

• Beautiful, clean and safe, Miramar is strategically located just off the Pan American Highway. Less than 45 minutes from the capital city of San Jose and the International airport, this area boasts the  closest beaches to the capital

• Situated in close proximity to some of Costa Rica’s main attractions, including the Arenal Volcano, Monteverde National Park, and the cruise port of Caldera
• Close proximity to the many beautiful beaches on the Central Pacific
