I figured a short explanation to the seemingly disconnected future content of this blog was due... My name is Ed, a 24 year old native New Yorker, who happened to move to Costa Rica after College in NYC to pursue a career in residential and hotel development. Two years into college, I changed my major from Economics to Philosophy and sat in on real estate and hospitality classes whenever I could. My options in NYC were limited (I didn't want to be a banker, lawyer, or doctor as my immigrant parents had dreamed), so I decided to take a risk and move to the jungle for a year (so far) and start a project of my own from the ground up. This came at a high price, as my life turned into one of constant travel, and changing circumstances (the life of a vagabond). I learned a lot and am still learning. I also lost a lot, but the price of following your dreams should never be limited. Everything in life happens for a very specific reason, even if we don't understand that reason right away. I wouldn't trade this experience for anything in the world. I wanted to create something that has never been done before, a new way of living without compromise, intelligent living rooted in life's core values. And so my journey began...
The posts that will follow will touch on subject matter that interests me, including and not limited to: Costa Rica, Green Technology, Health, Photography, Design, Architecture, World News, Culture, Electro music, 2012, Debauchery, and of course where my travels and life take me.
It's April 17th, 2009 and I'm looking at the ocean - what will follow this moment will be the best and most important years of my life, but what can never be ignored is the beauty of this very moment, for this moment is my life.
